Susan A. Marshall, Lab Manager/Research Assistant

In addition to being the lab manager, Susan helps with lab

experiments and the mathematical approaches used in our

research.  Additionally, as a licensed secondary education teacher with 23 years of experience, Susan also helps in our

efforts to develop new curricula, new methods to engage

students in the classroom/lab, and our new approach to undergraduate research.

Tina Jancke, Ph.D Student

Tina started her Ph.D. in my laboratory this January, 2012.  Her first project is sequencing one of the receptors in the female reproductive tract that may underlie reproductive isolation between species of Allonemobius.  Before joining lab, she completed her M.S. in John Parsch’s Laboratory  at LMU Munich (Germany).  Her Thesis research focused on the effect of Wolbachia infection on the fitness and gene expression of Drosophila melanogaster.
