Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Strategic Plan
The first-ever universitywide strategic plan for diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, known as Our Lens, Our Focus, Our K-State, is a five year inclusive excellence plan that provides a clear and holistic view of equity gaps, outlining targeted aims and actions for addressing those disparities. This plan builds upon past strategic planning efforts, as well as the Action Plan for a More Inclusive K-State.

Recent national events and #BlackAtKState bring into clear focus how much work needs to be done to address racial and social injustice issues at our university. Developing meaningful, measurable action plans with concrete steps will propel us forward together.

KSUnite is a rallying cry that joins the entire university family together to uphold the value of human diversity and inclusion for community
Community Action Talks (CATs)
This series of discussions has been created to address social issues affecting K-State, the Manhattan Community, the nation and the world. CATs will happen monthly with a panel of speakers from K-State and the Manhattan community relevant to the issue at hand. All are encouraged to attend and contribute to the community conversation.
Difficult Dialogues
Difficult Dialogues was created to help faculty make progress on their knowledge and skill in facilitating difficult conversations in the classroom when difficult or challenging topics arise. This lunch and learn series will be piloted for 2019-2020 year and cover topics such as mental health, race and ethnicity, gender sexual orientation and identity, political divide/current events.
President's Commission on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging
The commission is charged to provide leadership and coordination to all related campus programs and activities and assist in creating and developing a university climate of inclusiveness and belonging.
President's Commission on Gender Equity
The goal of this commission is to review the roles, needs, and opportunities for students, faculty and staff of all gender identities at Kansas State University and make recommendations to the university president for changes where appropriate.
President's Committee on Religious, Spiritual, and Nonreligious Diversity
The commission is charged to provide leadership and coordination to all related campus programs and activities and assist in creating and developing a university climate of inclusiveness and diversity.
Diversity Point People
Each academic college has designated a Diversity Point Person, or DPP, to provide insight and guidance, seeking to advance diversity and inclusion across campus. Additionally, DPPs can answer questions about diversity policies or serve as a resource in a variety of arenas.
Campus Climate Survey
K-State 2025 calls for "a work environment that encourages creativity, excellence, and high morale in faculty and staff, responds to changing needs, embraces diversity, values communication and collaboration, and is respectful, trusting, fair and collegial for all."
