Big 12 Room
We will watch 2 to 3 vignettes from The Eyes on The Prize documentary series. Our purpose will be to view live footage of the injustice done to the African Americans during the civil rights movement that will lead to discussion / dialogue and action around the following questions. 1) How did this live footage make you feel? What did you see in this live footage? What does the live footage today look like? 2) Identify and Describe Courage and Fear from the live footage. 3) Identify and Describe hate and why is it associated with injustice from the live footage. 4) From this journey in the 60's what has changed and what hasn't changed? 5) How can you be a power for change in respect to injustice? Describe how you would stand up to injustice today and why is it everyone’s responsibility? What stops people from standing up to injustice?
We will take a look into the past from live footage of what was happening at that stage of the journey to justice and challenge participants to look at the current stage of the journey and discover how they will use their power to be involved in the continuing journey for justice.

We all have a narrative, a story that continues to evolve. I’m a passionate, honest, raw, out of the box speaker and author. Like you I have made both wise and foolish, dumb ass decisions. Being vulnerable, transparent, and honest I believe are daily decisions to be authentic! I love creating a space for honest critical thinning, reflection, and dialogue! I worked at The University of Zambia with students developing leaders and currently travel to ten Big Twelve, Big Ten, and SEC universities developing men!
