Amy Beins brings over 18 years of experience in purchasing, household management, business operations, and special needs care. As an Office Specialist II in the Department of Economics at Kansas State University, and a Term Appointment Caucus Faculty Senator, she plays a vital role in supporting academic operations and advocating for faculty, staff, and student voices within institutional decision-making.
Her professional journey includes academic pursuits at Highland Community College and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, along with meaningful volunteer work for organizations like Seattle Beagle Rescue. Known for her dedication to both her work and her values, Amy is a passionate advocate for human rights. She actively participates in movements for social justice, including Women’s Rights marches, Pride events, and other equality-centered protests.
Amy’s guiding principle echoes the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.: “There comes a time when silence is betrayal.” She brings that conviction to everything she does—professionally and personally.
