K-State Department of Economics Mentoring Program
The K-State Department of Economics Mentoring Program offers alumni and friends of the department the opportunity to share their experience and put our current students on the path to success.
Students gain valuable insights through:
- Career advice
- Resume reviews
- On-site workplace visits
- Mock interviews
- Networking opportunities
Our program pairs students one-on-one with mentors who provide professional expertise and career advice. Participants are thoughtfully matched based on commonalities in their personal and professional profiles.
The formal portion of this program consists of approximately a one year commitment between mentor and mentee. Typically, pairs are matched at the end of an academic year in early June. Throughout the duration of the program, mentors and mentees will communicate and meet regularly based on the agreed-upon terms that best suit them. The commitment will continue through the following April. When possible, pairs will attend our annual awards banquet in April. After that, a final survey will complete the process.
