Leena and her husband Amit have lived in Manhattan, Kansas for 35 years, and have raised two daughters here. They have both worked at K-State for all these years. As the associate director of the English Language Program, Leena supervises all areas of student services, which includes academic and personal advising, tutoring, and technology access for students. She also meets with prospective K-State students to help them during their admission and enrollment process. She works with advisors in the different colleges to make the transition process easier for ELP students as they start taking university classes. She also teaches orientation classes. In addition to general administrative duties, she also leads grant-funded projects as needed.
