NAFSA: Association of International Educators reports that international students contributed $236 million to the Kansas economy supporting 1,577 jobs during the 2023-2024 academic year. This includes $33 million and 281 jobs from students enrolled at Kansas State University.

Students at English Language Programs contributed $371 million to the U.S. economy and support 2,691 jobs across the U.S. and $1.7 million a nd 50 jobs in the state of Kansas in 2023-2024. NAFSA calculates that one U.S. job is created for every three students enrolled in a university-based English Language Program.
