My earliest K-State memory was attending a K-State football game when I was in elementary school. I remember sitting in the stands seeing all the purple and white, the unmatched energy, and the family-focused atmosphere and from that point on, I knew that one day I would become a K-State Wildcat.

Why did you choose K-State?

I chose K-State for several reasons. The first being that I have a long line of family that attended K-State, including my mom who was a K-State baseball manager & my aunt who was a Classy Cat. The biggest thing that won me over on K-State was the friendly environment that I experienced when I toured campus. Everyone on campus from day one made me feel at home here and after that, I knew there was no other school that I would want to go to.

How are you involved at K-State?

I am involved in Student Governing Association where I serve as the speaker pro tempore of the Student Senate, Sales Ambassadors, StuMo, and FarmHouse Fraternity. I am also a Learning Assistant with K-State First, & K-State Athletics Communications Intern.

What has been your favorite K-State experience?

My favorite K-State experience so far has to be the K-State vs. KU game on Jan. 17, 2023. The energy in the student section throughout the entire game was so much fun, as well as overtime, storming the court, and Coach Tang’s words that I still remember like it was yesterday!

How does K-State care for Kansans in your hometown community?

There are so many ways that K-State serves Kansans every day. One of the biggest things I see is the education that alumni receive and the way that they carry it out in their businesses or jobs. K-State Research & Extension is also integral in our community. They are pivotal in our annual Five State Fair, and they work directly with our schools to educate students on the benefits of healthy eating. But one of the biggest parts is the community that it creates. Seeing K-State alumni gather on game days to bond over a common passion for K-State further proves how K-State impacts my community and so many others in Kansas.

Why do you want to bring K-State to your community?

I want to bring K-State to Seward County because after only a year here, I see the benefits that Kansas State University offers. While it may be quite the drive, attending a university that stresses family values, offers unmatched education, outstanding athletics, and unmatched community, there is no other school I could recommend more for students to go.
