My earliest K-State memory was visiting with my dad the fall before my freshman year. It was my first college visit and I remember feeling like K-State was the place I wanted to be for the next stage of life.
Why did you choose K-State?
I chose K-State because of research opportunities, it wasn’t too far from home, and the environment felt like a place I could thrive in.
How are you involved at K-State?
I am involved in the College of Arts and Sciences ambassadors program and a neuroscience research lab.
What has been your favorite K-State experience?
How does K-State care for Kansans in your hometown community?
K-State cares for Kansans in my hometown community by doing exactly what this program is doing. Making time and effort to meet in person with those from communities and bringing someone familiar (me) with them to help gain a better perspective. They are getting to know and better understand communities around Kansas to prepare K-State for all different types of people and make it the best fit possible.
Why do you want to bring K-State to your community?
I want to bring K-State to my community to encourage those who haven’t considered moving or looking into a larger college to rethink that. There are so many opportunities I never would have gained if I hadn’t taken a chance to move and place myself in a new community.
