Coming to Kompass through Project Impact and experiencing K-State before the semester started.

Why did you choose K-State?

K-State expressed interest in me through the scholarships given to me, admissions representatives they sent to my community and the successful professional program I desired to be in, all making my decision for me.

How are you involved at K-State?

I am the vice president of the Kappa Tau chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. on campus. I serve as Black Student Union parliamentarian, as a Student Mobilization Leaders team member and as a Project Impact peer mentor. I work with K-State Athletics hospitality crew and Morris Family Multicultural Student Center.

What has been your favorite K-State experience?

My favorite experience on campus was the grand opening of the Morris Family Multicultural Student Center.

How does K-State care for Kansans in your hometown community?

The constant attention K-State brings to my community is through the representatives they send and the personalized emails and letters that make you feel wanted and supported.

Why do you want to bring K-State to your community?

I want community members to open their eyes to the possibilities they have every right to utilize.
