I’ve been attending K-State games since I was a baby. I met Willie the Wildcat at a basketball game when I was 5 years old. I was so excited to finally meet him and get his autograph. Meeting him definitely lived up to my expectations and began my love for K-State!
Why did you choose K-State?
Choosing K-State was an easy decision for me. I come from a three-generation K-State family, and I saw how their experiences at K-State made an impact on all their lives. I knew I wanted something similar to their experiences and K-State was the perfect option for me. I felt comfortable walking around, seeing all the smiling faces of students and meeting the incredible faculty. From the moment I stepped on K-State's campus, I knew I could call it home.
How are you involved at K-State?
I am a member of Student Alumni Board, Blue Key Senior Honorary and Kappa Omicron Nu, the College of Health and Human Sciences national honor society. I am also involved in Fraternity and Sorority Life at K-State where I serve as president for my sorority, Chi Omega.
What has been your favorite K-State experience?
My favorite memory is traveling with several of my friends to Arlington, Texas, to watch the K-State football game against Stanford University. I was thrilled to see how many K-State students and alumni traveled to watch the game and support the 'Cats to victory!
How does K-State care for Kansans in your hometown community?
K-State touches my hometown community through our county extension office where they implement programs such as STEM youth lessons, 4-H development, family life and healthy living. These programs educate and serve as a helping hand for our youth and community members.
Why do you want to bring K-State to your community?
I have seen the impact that K-State has made on the many people in my life, and I want the members of my community to experience that same impact. K-State creates countless opportunities and helps individuals grow into the best version of themselves. I have truly learned so much during my time at K-State and I'm ready to share that experience with my community.
