Why did you choose K-State?
The K-State Salina Aerospace and Technology Campus is in my hometown. When I first did a campus tour I noticed the staff and students seemed to have a great community on campus. I also received great information about the pilot program. K-State provides many aviation-related opportunities to become a great pilot.
How are you involved at K-State?
I am the president of the Women's Air Racing club and am a member of the Women in Aviation club. I also work at the K-State Student Life Center.
What has been your favorite K-State experience?
My favorite experience was flying to Alabama with the K-State Women’s Air Racing Club to volunteer at the Air Race Classic.
How does K-State care for Kansans in your hometown community?
The clubs and organizations on the K-State Salina campus volunteer in several events in our community each year. Clubs like Women in Aviation host several events like Girls in Aviation Day. This gets kids involved and introduces them to aviation.
Why do you want to bring K-State to your community?
I want to bring K-State to my community because I want everyone to feel like they can accomplish any goal. I have had to get through various obstacles to get where I am in my academic career. K-State has shown me that I am heard and there is always someone who can help me.
