Community open forum

Everyone is invited to attend this community event, where President Richard Linton and K-State students will host a dialogue about university and community connections and the student experience. A focus will be on the future of enhancing the successful partnerships and positive relationships with and between communities in the Central Kansas region.

Aerospace innovation

Join a conversation about what aerospace innovation means for the greater Salina community. Salina is a premiere location for advanced air mobility flight training, testing and research and for emerging aerospace companies to call home.

Rural mental health and well-being
12:30-1:30 p.m.

Participate in a conversation with local partners as they take a comprehensive approach in addressing mental health in their rural communities. Learn how the city of Ellsworth is taking steps to manage the surge in resource demand and is exploring ways to help individuals enhance their mental health and psychological well-being.

Parking directions: Park in the parking lot west of the corporate office building. Overflow parking is available at Lakewood Park across the street on the side south of North Street. Enter the building through the parking lot entrance on the west side of the corporate office.

Take part in a facilitated conversation about ways that education in the Salina region is partnering to meet the needs of industry. Learn from local industry, education and community stakeholders about how the Salina region is advancing through unique collaborations and support.

Youth engagement: K-State at the Salina Public Library

Join President Richard Linton, Vice President for Student Life and Dean of Students Thomas Lane, and the Connected ‘Cats students as they partner with the Salina Public Library for two concurrent educational opportunities:

  • Wildcat story time: Recommended for children up to grade four, President Linton and Dean Lane will host a live story time reading of K-State’s College of Education book, K-State: An Alphabet Journey Across Campus. A limited number of books will also be available for distribution!
    • Location within the library: The Imagination Station
  • Math Monday: The Connected ‘Cats will participate as volunteers in the Salina Public Library’s Math Monday program, an active learning opportunity that is geared to get elementary school students fired up about math! This program begins at its regularly scheduled time of 4 p.m., with the Connected 'Cats joining the fun at 4:15 p.m.
