Spring 2025 community visits
Kansas State University will spend April 28-30, 2025, visiting communities across Kansas, including Hamilton, Finney and Sumner counties. The visit includes several days of activities to engage with, listen to and learn from Kansans.
Community visit events
The spring 2025 visit will include events with community leaders, organizations and partners. There will be community conversations, activities and workshops to build engagement with several initiatives and areas of the university.

Working together to solve the food access problem Participate in a community conversation on how to make sure everyone in Hamilton County has enough food. Community partners will share ideas and discuss new ways to help people get the food they need. Together, we will explore challenges, share lessons learned and find ways to address food security gaps, ultimately building a stronger system to support those in need. |

K-State Transfer Navigator: Your path to success Explore transfer opportunities with K-State's Transfer Navigator team. Join us for a tabling event in the student union to learn more about transferring to K-State, enter scholarship drawings and enjoy donuts while getting your questions answered. |
Transfer Navigator luncheon The K-State Transfer Navigator team invites Garden City Community College academic advisors and colleagues to a luncheon, where they will share important university updates and answer questions. Enjoy a complimentary meal while connecting with the K-State team to learn more about the transfer process. This event aims to foster collaboration and support for a smooth transfer experience for all students. |

Food entrepreneurship workshop K-State and partners will host a workshop with sessions focused on food entrepreneurship, food incubators and commercial kitchens, financing options and more. The workshop will include an optional walking tour to learn about economic development happening in downtown Caldwell. This event is a partnership with Network Kansas, K-State Research and Extension, Sumner County Economic Development and the Heartland Regional Food Business Center. The event is free and open to all Kansans, but registration is required. A free boxed lunch will be provided to people who register before Friday, April 25. |
