The University through its programs, service and learning experience (within & beyond the classroom), seeks to cultivate a sense of connection across Faculty/ Staff /Students as contributing members of the learning community.
Examples of Services for Faculty/Staff/Students Include:
Continuum of Engaged Scholarship
Scholarly engagement is research, teaching, and service in which the university collaborates with public or private sectors in activities that benefi t individuals and communities. This continuum represents a few examples of engaged activities with increasing levels of external involvement.
Support for Scholarly Engaged Activities
K-State academic units or faculty/staff can sumbit a proposal for a limiting funding opportunity to support scholarly engaged activities.
The Engagement Innovation Funds are meant to build greater capacity for engaged scholarly activities to make progress on the imperatives of the Next-Gen K-State strategic plan.
Funds should be used to advance these Next-Gen plan objectives:
- Theme 5: Integrating Engagement Across All Do
- Maximize K-State's impact through engagement and outreach with a preferred connection to K-State Research & Extension system and/or a community partner.
- Innovatively connecting with communities through RSCAD, teaching and service to create community impact.
Proposals from all disciplines are welcome as funding will support efforts to build or strengthen connections with external stakeholders through teaching, RSCAD and service with the goal of fostering community impact through engagement.
