Description:

kcdcKCDC is an interdisciplinary laboratory facilitating deeper understanding and fostering improved quality of life, economic development, and environmental stewardship in the Kansas City area through design, planning, research, and education. KCDC focuses on projects in the Kansas City area communities normally without access to design services. The efforts of KCDC help such communities to vision their future and, by extension, help them to coalesce around a shared future. This level of direct engagement also introduces K-State students to design professions as viable careers for those wishing to make a significant social impact.
