Description:
UFM Community Learning Center is a creative educational program serving K-State, the Manhattan area, and the state of Kansas. Based on the philosophy that everyone can learn and everyone can teach, UFM provides opportunities for lifelong learning and personal development by soliciting community members to teach classes to other community members. (Instructors have ranged from age 6 to 96!) UFM serves as a forum for the exchange of ideas and as a catalyst for new programs and services that enhance the quality of life for all. UFM reaches more than 28,000 people annually with hands-on learning; incubates small organizations and businesses; provides unique educational opportunities that improves the quality of life for all ages; and exposes community resources to the campus and campus resources to the community.
