D. K. Smith

D. K. Smith is the author of two novels and one book of literary criticism. He teaches at Kansas State University.

“In his second novel, Missing Persons, D. K. Smith has assembled a memorable ensemble cast of charmingly quirky characters whose shifting realignments make for both humor and pathos as these wounded and very human people--young and old--find ways to heal themselves and each other. Elegantly written and quietly compelling, in the vein of Charles Baxter’s Feast of Love, Missing Persons is both moving and entertaining.”

“Part thriller, part love story, part magic trick itself, Nothing Disappears is a beautiful, funny, moving novel about small-town life from every angle.”
