Manhattan is approximately 2 1/2 hours' drive from the nearest major airport, which is in Kansas City (airport code MCI). To get from Kansas City to Manhattan, you can either take the Roadrunner Express Shuttle (about $65 round trip) or rent a car at the airport. To make a reservation with Roadrunner, call 800-826-8294 (toll-free), 785-537-2086, or 785-238-6161.It is also possible to fly directly into Manhattan on US Air and on Midwest Express. (If you are already flying on this airline, the additional flight is affordable. If you have to change airlines, it is quite expensive.) If you are flying internationally, it might be helpful to note that US Air has had an agreement with British Air which may make it easier, or at least cheaper, to fly into Manhattan.)
From the Manhattan airport, you will need to get a cab to campus. You can either call from the airport when you arrive (which means waiting about 30 minutes for it to get there) or you can call ahead to have one meet your flight. Bell Taxi service: 1-800-826-8294.
