Frequently Asked Questions About Billing
What is eBilling?
K-State utilizes eBills to generate student account statements for tuition, fees and other university charges electronically. Students will receive an email notification to their university account when the eBill is available for viewing. Parents or others can view current and prior period eBills once they obtain Designated Access from the student.
How do I access my eBill?
Students may access their eBill through their KSIS account. Once logged in to KSIS, click on the Financial Accounts tile from the Student Homepage and select the View Bills link.
Will I receive a bill in the mail?
Kansas State University does not mail paper invoices. Students receive email notifications to their university account when an eBill generates.
Can I receive a paper bill instead of an eBill?
All students receive eBills. Authorized users may download and print eBills online from any computer with internet and printer access. There are many computer labs on campus, as well as in the Library and Union.
Can I create access for another person?
A student may set up access for whomever they want to view their financial information. Students may provide access to their eBills account through KSIS, where they can set up designated access for users of their choice. They may also set up an e-mail address for the authorized user to receive e-mail notifications whenever new bills generate. This access ONLY allows users to view financial information.
Why isn't my eBill opening?
Check to make sure you don't have a pop-up blocker activated on your browser that may prevent a new window from opening and displaying your eBill. Temporarily disable the pop-up blocker or try a different web browser.
Can I pay my tuition and fees online?
Yes. K-State has partnered with CASHNet Smartpay services for online payments of tuition and fees. Payments made by credit card incur a service charge the student must pay. Electronic payments made with checking accounts are free of service charge fees. CASHNet is accessible via each student's KSIS account. View additional information about other payment methods.
I received a refund, why is there still a balance on my bill?
Should you receive a refund and still owe a balance, these are likely charges that federal aid is not permitted to pay.
Title IV aid will not pay default charges (aka late fees) such as late enrollment, student collection fees, uncollectible check fees, ESL late fees, etc.
