Tuition Installment Payment Plan (TIPP)
Kansas State University is pleased to offer a Tuition Installment Payment Plan. Students can sign up through KSIS and track their required installment payments online. Enrollment is available online from the Student Center within KSIS or by completing and submitting the application form from our website. Enrollment will open after financial aid disbursement the week before the semester begins, and will close at 3pm on the third billing date of the fall and spring semesters, November and April, respectively.
The TIPP program allows students to spread out payments for tuition and other university charges over four months for the Fall and Spring semesters and two months for the Summer term.
Bills generate after the close of business on the 15th of each month. If the 15th falls on a weekend or holiday, billing occurs after close on the previous day of business. The only exceptions are the start of the Fall and Spring semesters when bills generate after the close of business on the first day of class. They are due by 3 p.m. on the next billing date. Due dates are available on your eBill.
How to Enroll
1. Select the Financial Account tile in KSIS.
2. Choose Make a Payment at the center of your screen OR at the bottom of the menu on the left side of the screen.

Designee TIPP Access
1. Designees wanting to access the Tuition Installment Payment plan should enter the Designee Center in KSIS.
2. Once within the Designee Center, choose View Bill/Make a Payment. Once Designees choose to make a payment they will then be redirected to Transact. This process will be the same as outlined for students above (Start with Step 3).
Cost of the Program
Payment plan enrollment costs $45 to cover administrative expenses for the Fall and Spring semesters and $24 for the Summer term. The enrollment fee is NOT refundable.
If you enroll after the initial payment due date for any semeseter, your payments will be spread over the remaining months. For example, students who enroll after the January due date in spring would see their payments spread over 3 months. Students who enroll after the February due date would see their payments spread over 2 months and so on.
Note: If the 15th day of the month falls on a weekend or holiday, bills will be generated on the next business day. Accurate due dates will always be listed on your eBill.

Terms and Conditions
The terms listed below apply to all sections of the Installment Payment Plan.
By enrolling in the Kansas State University (KSU) Installment Payment Plan (IPP), I agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Student Eligibility:
- Must be enrolled in the current/upcoming semester at KSU.
- Must be current on charges owed to KSU.
- Must have no holds on your student account from previous collection activities.
2. Enrollment:
- Online enrollment for the KSU IPP must be done in accordance with the KSU payment plan schedule. If you are ineligible to participate, the KSU IPP system will not allow you to enroll.
- The enrollment fee is due at the time of enrollment. The enrollment fee is $45 for the Fall and Spring semesters and $24 for the Summer semester.
- The enrollment fee is non-refundable.
- Enrollment in the plan is not automatic for subsequent semesters. A new agreement is needed each semester a student wants to use the plan.
3. Student Account:
- Your K-State Student Information System (KSIS) student account is the system of record for all transactions – tuition, fees, payments, financial aid, meal plans, housing, etc.
- Your IPP is distributed evenly over two to four (2-4) monthly installments for both the Fall and Spring semesters - plan length is predetermined and dependent on enrollment date - and two (2) monthly installments for the Summer semester.
- Anticipated financial aid identified in your KSIS account reduces the account balance prior to enrolling in the plan.
- If additional charges are incurred after initial enrollment in the plan, the plan amount will recalculate. The amount due on the remaining payments that have not already been billed will be adjusted accordingly.
- Financial Aid adjustments will increase or decrease installment payment amounts. The plan amount will be recalculated, and the amount due on the remaining payments that have not already been billed will be adjusted accordingly.
4. Delinquent Accounts:
- Failure to pay the installment amount due may result in an administrative hold placed on your student record that may prevent future registration at KSU.
- Partial or delinquent installment payments for two (2) months are subject to cancellation by KSU and you may be ineligible to participate in the IPP in the future.
- Upon cancellation of your IPP, any balance on your student account will be due according to KSU monthly billing due dates and will be payable immediately.
- A default charge of 1.5% will be assessed on any past due balance associated with the current term still remaining on the account at the end of the payment plan term.
5. Fees and Other Charges:
- The enrollment fee is non-refundable.
- A separate enrollment fee is required for each semester of participation – enrollments do not automatically renew or roll over for the next semester. The fee for Fall and Spring semesters is $45. The fee for the Summer semester is $24.
- Payments returned from the bank for any reason in conjunction with the IPP will result in the assessment of a $30 returned item fee.
- A default charge of 1.5% will be assessed on any past due balance associated with the current term still remaining on the account at the end of the payment plan term.
- A non-refundable service fee is assessed for all credit and debit card transactions.
6. Automated Direct Payment Option:
- Payments may be deducted from your checking or savings account by e-check, debit or credit card. A non-refundable service fee is assessed for all credit and debit card transactions.
- Payments will be withdrawn from your account each month on a date selected by the account holder and will be payable to KSU. A record of each payment will be posted to the student’s account.
- Declined and Dishonored Payments – it is the responsibility of the guarantor to ensure adequate funds are available on the due date. In the event a payment is declined or dishonored, KSU reserves the right to cancel the payment plan. Upon cancellation, the balance becomes due immediately. Additionally, the account will be assessed an additional returned check fee of $30.00.
- KSU is not liable for any returned payments due to incorrect bank account information supplied. KSU is not liable for any charges that your bank imposes on you as a result of your account being in an overdraft position, or below daily or monthly minimum required balances, exceeding electronic withdrawal limits, or any other charges as a result of your IPP payment being deducted from your checking/savings account.
7. Termination of Installment Payment Plan:
Participation in the IPP is entirely voluntary. At any time before your final payment is due, you may terminate your IPP without any explanation. However, if you do so, there may be an additional balance on your student account, which will be due immediately.
8. Rights to KSU under default or Ineligibility:
KSU reserves the right to terminate the IPP in the event of default or ineligibility. Upon termination of the IPP, any balance on the student account will be payable according to KSU monthly billing due dates and will be payable immediately.
I have read the Terms and Conditions of this agreement. I authorize KSU and their respective agents to contact me regarding my student account and any other financial obligation to KSU at the current or any future number that I provide for my cellular or other wireless device using automated telephone dialing equipment, artificial, or pre-recorded voice or text messages.
As a student enrolled in classes at KSU, I agree to assume full financial responsibility for all charges incurred on my student account whether I attend the classes or not. I further understand that my failure to be fiscally responsible may result in service holds, late fees, collection actions by KSU, the Attorney General’s Office or other third-party agencies, unfavorable credit bureau filing and/or litigation. I will assume all costs associated with such actions.
