Direct Deposit

Direct Deposit

Kansas State University requires payroll direct deposit for all employees.

Employees with an existing checking or savings account may make additions or changes to their direct deposit by using Employee Self Service online or in person through your departmental HR Liaison or DFS Payroll.

  • Update online instructions (pdf)
  • Update in-person: Make an appointment with your HR Liaison or DFS Payroll. We will provide the direct deposit form and/or assist you in making the update online during your appointment. For security reasons, you must:
    • Appear in-person
    • Bring government-issued photo identification (e.g. Wildcat Card, driver's license, passport)
    • Provide bank documentation showing your routing number and account number (e.g., a voided check)

We will no longer accept forms submitted by U.S. Mail, campus mail, email or fax.

Paycard Program

The State of Kansas maintains a 100% electronic payment policy for payroll payments. In support of this policy, the State of Kansas has partnered with U.S. Bank to offer the U.S. Bank Focus Payroll card for employees.
