Events
KSBN will host a series of events focused on the book. Students will have opportunities to discuss the book inside and outside classes, to participate in a campus wide service learning activity, and to attend lectures and programs designed to stimulate thinking about the book's numerous important social issues.

Ernest Cline, author visit Ernest Cline will speak to K-State students about his book, Ready Player One. There will be a book signing after the event. The event is free, but tickets are required. Tickets will be available September 30th at the McCain Auditorium box office and the Manhattan Public Library. Students enrolled in a K-State First class should talk to their professor before picking up a ticket. |

New York Times in the Classroom Speaker: Justin Gillis Award-winning New York Times reporter Justin Gillis will visit Kansas State for a public lecture titled "2044: What Will It Really Be Like?" Gillis's lecture is the third event sponsored by the K-State Book Network in conjunction with the 2013 selection, Ernest Cline's "Ready Player One." Cline's novel takes place in the years 2044 and 2045, providing an opportunity to consider what our world might be like at mid-century. |
