The Department of Geography and Geospatial Sciences is a team of world-class research and instructional faculty, support staff, post-doctoral research associates, and graduate students whose mission is to generate and disseminate scientific knowledge through instruction, research, and outreach.

The department is led by Dr. Marcellus Caldas, Interim Department Head, assisted by Ms. Penny Crawford, Office Specialist II; Dr. Audrey Joslin, Graduate Program Director; Dr. Jeffrey Smith, Lead Undergraduate Advisor; Dr. Abigail Langston, Environmental Science Advisory Board member; and Dr. Shawn Hutchinson, Director of the Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences secondary major.
