Open Enrollment October 1-31
All covered employees must make their elections for 2025 by October 31, even if they plan to choose the same coverage. New hires or newly eligible employees must enroll during the open enrollment period for coverage for 2025, in addition to the enrollment they complete as a new hire for elections for the rest of 2024.
What’s New in 2025!
Medical and RX Coverage
- No increase in medical premium for Employees.
- No changes to out-of-pocket amounts except for the IRS regulation changes for Plans C&N.
- Plans C & N – The first deductible for Employee + Spouse, Employee + Family, and Employee + Children coverage tiers will be $3,300 to meet the new IRS regulations for members with “non single” coverage. The overall family deductible will remain at $5,500.
Dental Coverage
- No increase in dental premium for Employees.
- Employee only coverage remains at no cost to the employee.
- Annual benefit maximum increased to $2,000 per member.
- Orthodontia Lifetime Maximum increased to $1,500 per member.
Vision Coverage
- Surency Vision will replace Avesis for 2025 as the vision care provider to administer the prescription eyewear benefits.
HSA/HRA Contributions
- 2025 HSA/HRA employer contributions will remain the same as they were in 2024.
Life Insurance
- KPERS Optional Group Life Insurance Open Enrollment Members can get up to $250,000 in guaranteed coverage during open enrollment (October 1-31) with no health questions. This includes members who have been declined in the past

- Live Open Enrollment Webinars : The SEHP offers live open enrollment webinars on October 1 and October 15. If these dates and times don't work with your schedule, feel free to register anyway. All registrants will receive an email with a link to the recording. All live webinars will be limited to the first 1,000 attendees.
