Kansas Military History Seminar
The Institute hosts the KMHS which brings together scholars of military history throughout the region and beyond, including at K-State, KU, and the Command and General Staff College to encourage cutting edge research by students a faculty. Meeting 2-3 times a semester, the KMHS creates a collaborative space for scholars to try out new ideas and help each other develop their projects. Meetings are hybrid and open to anyone who wants to participate.

The Eisenhower Lecture in War and Peace is a biennial event hosted by the Kansas State University Department of History. Internationally acclaimed historians are invited to speak on an issue of war and peace in their field of specialization. Created with the personal approval of President Dwight Eisenhower, the lectures reflect his belief that questions of war and peace, much like the natural linkages of militaries and the societies they defend, are part of a single field of study.
The Institute is honored to be a sponsor of the Teaching Military History project. It provides support for teaching military history from elementary school through the doctoral level. The website contains K-12 lesson plans, college syllabi, graduate reading lists, and pedagogical essays that disseminate cutting-edge techniques for teaching military history.
