Voluntary 403(b) plan is offered with pre-tax and/or after-tax payroll deduction contributions up to the maximum limit allowed by IRS regulations. Multiple investment providers are approved by Kansas Board of Regents.
Deferred compensation (457) contributions may be made on a pre-tax basis through payroll deduction to Great West Financial to the maximum allowed by IRS regulations.
Learning Quest Education Savings Program (529) An excellent way to save for education expenses. The plan allows earnings to accumulate on a tax-deferred basis and distributions are tax & penalty free when used for qualified education expenses.
Workers Compensation
Anytime an employee has a work-related incident or injury, the incident must be reported to Kansas State University through the Report an Incident system. This system allows Kansas State University to analyze campus safety. This also serves as the report that will be provided to the state.
Tuition Assistance
Tuition Assistance is provided to full time employees for one K-State undergraduate or graduate academic credit course for up to 3 hours of credit during each fall, spring, and summer semester.

Dependent/Spouse Grant full-time students may receive a tuition grant for up to 7 undergraduate credit hours or 3 graduate credit hours per fall/spring semester. This assistance is not available to unclassified employees on a term contract.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a service provided for State of Kansas benefits eligible employees and their dependents at no charge. The EAP provides information, short-term counseling, advice, and referrals from licensed professionals who understand the typical stresses we all face day in and day out. Hiring and Onboarding Process
Human Resources (HR) at Kansas State University designs and organizes a half day New Employee Welcome program (K-State New Employee Welcome Program) for all new employees. Each department is responsible for planning and implementing an on-boarding for staff for successful incoming. There are no specific or separate hiring and on-onboarding processes for USS employees.

Comp Structure (COE)
The Compensation Structure is made up of all job titles and their corresponding salary grade, employee type (USS/UNC), and job family available at KSU. It provides a position structure into which all staff positions are classified. The compensation structure is an important part of a compensation program that supports competitive and equitable pay.
