Performance Management Overview
Performance Management Overview
The K-State Performance Management process is designed to align individual goals and performance with the university’s mission, core values, and standards of excellence. This continuous approach focuses on collaboration, growth, and regular feedback to help employees achieve both personal and institutional success.
Key Performance Components:
- Success in performing core responsibilities and objectives.
- Professional development interests and plans.
- Modeling K-State values and demonstrating K-State standards of excellence.
Performance Scale
- Distinguished Performance:
Exceeds expectations consistently, going above and beyond core responsibilities. Demonstrates exceptional leadership and serves as a role model for others. - Successful Performance:
Successfully meets all core responsibilities, achieves objectives, and exemplifies K-State’s values and standards of excellence. - Variable Performance:
Meets core responsibilities but shows inconsistency in achieving objectives or demonstrating K-State’s values. Addressing identified gaps is essential for success in the coming year. - Significant Performance Gaps:
Performance is below K-State’s expectations. Core responsibilities and/or values were not consistently demonstrated. Immediate focus on addressing gaps is necessary for improvement.
