Anger Management

Course Code: WTD136

Course Name: Anger Management

Prerequisite: None

Department: Human Resources

Length of Session: 1.5 hour

Audience: All Employees

Session Description: While anger can be completely normal, expected, and even helpful, it isn't pleasant to experience someone else showing intense or uncontrolled anger in the workplace, particularly if you are the target. At times, it can be really hurtful and harmful. Even worse, the expression of anger by one person can, on occasion, seem to almost infect others until the emotional environment becomes nearly unbearable. This session can be helpful to those dealing with the anger of others as well as to those struggling with their own.

Session Objectives: As a result of this session, participants will:

  • Examine anger, its expression, and how to examine it in the workplace.
  • Learn the story behind much of the anger seen in our society today.
  • Understand how to not take on another person’s anger.
  • Identify how to help others and yourself manage anger.

Request a Session: To schedule an individual training session, please email Learning and Development at learning-develop-hr@ksu.edu.
