Audience: New administrator, department head, or staff members interested in learning more about the process

Session Description: Any new administrator, department head, or staff member who may be asked to serve on a Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) or Threat Management Team should attend this training. The training includes information about the Threat Management policies, procedures and guidelines, as well as information on the Standards and Procedures for Voluntary or Involuntary Withdrawal from the University for Seriously Disruptive Behaviors Policy, the Student Code of Conduct and resources available to students.

Session Objectives: As a result of this session, participants will:

  • Understand the Threat Management process
  • Recognize the policies and procedures related to the Threat Management Policy and the CIRT Policy
  • Discuss responsibilities for reporting and sharing information about serious or threatening behaviors
  • Learn more about resources available to students
