Audience: Supervisors of University Support Staff
Session Description: This session is an opportunity for supervisors of USS employees to work through a real-life scenario of writing SMART goals and rating performance based on those goals. The session will also cover the entire process and timeline for USS performance reviews. Participants will also learn how to address under-performing employees.
Participants should bring the position description of an employee they supervise in order to develop SMART goals for that employee.
Session Objectives: As a result of this session, participants will:
- Understand SMART Goal system,
- Apply SMART Goals to real time employee evaluations,
- Address under-performing employees,
- Review and understand performance evaluating process and timeline.
