Instrument:

Guarded hot plate and cold plate in an environmental chamber; the camping mattress is held under constant compressive force between the plates

Cost:

• $600 for consumer-facing claims (requires 3 full-size specimens of each sample type), or
• $465 for prototypes (results cannot be used for consumer-facing claims)
