"Curiosity: Your Secret College Superpower"
Melissa Glaser, Student Services Coordinator - TRIO ESS
You already know that earning good grades, working hard, and getting involved will help you prepare for and succeed in college. But what else can help you become a stronger student and leader who truly stands out? Curiosity!
In this workshop, you'll strengthen and practice your curiosity skills for the sake of learning — no grades or tests involved. How? We'll watch a short film and discuss how specific techniques (camera angles, color, lighting, composition, sound, editing, etc.) impact characters, mood, setting, and other story elements. The more curiosity you bring to this session, the more fun you'll have (and the more you'll learn). Plus, research shows that curiosity makes us happier and more energized, too!
