KAWSE Conference Scholarship
The K-State Office for the Advancement of Women in Science and Engineering (KAWSE) is pleased to announce the opportunity for scholarships to attend a Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) or Leadership conference. These scholarships are for women studying in a STEM field. This scholarship opportunity is made possible through the donation of a K-State alumna.
Purpose of Scholarship:
The purpose of this scholarship is to help fund travel expenses to a conference that promotes personal development. This conference can be a leadership conference or any STEM conference.
Up to $300 may be provided for conferences attended in the spring or summer semester. Preference will be given to students who have participated in either the KAWSE Ambassador’s student group or KAWSE programs such as EXCITE Shadow Days and GROW Saturday Workshops. However, all students are encouraged to apply and will be considered. At least 2 recipients will be selected.
Eligibility:
- Women studying in a STEM department in the Colleges of Agriculture, Arts & Sciences, Human Ecology, Engineering, Veterinary Medicine
- Attending either a STEM or Leadership conference in Spring or Summer 2019
