The club met in Rathbone Hall 274, at 7:00 P.M.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS - OPEN HOUSE
Bill Kuhn, KO4MH reported that he had replaced a failed electrolytic capacitor on the COR board for the 2m repeater. This capacitor was part of an R-C circuit that is meant to make the repeater stop transmitting after 3 minutes of uninterrupted carrier. The defective capacitor created a different time constant (a very short one) that was causing the repeater's annoying new pattern of dropping out after a few seconds. The club thanks Bill for rescuing the repeater.
NEW BUSINESS
There was show and tell with the club's 0.5 Kenwood VC-H1 slow scan TV unit. We're not sure which half of the device we own, but we were able to look at all of it. This combination camera/modem can take an SSTV picture and send it to a radio for transmission. It can also display SSTV pictures received.
Norm Dillman, NØJCC reported that the club's Hy-Gain TH6DXX Super Thunderbird tri-band beam has unacceptably high SWR readings on 10m and 15m. It has been in service 20 + years, and it is likely that something has gotten into some of the traps. No action is planned at this time.
The club members enjoyed visiting with a prospective amateur for most of the meeting time.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:14 P.M.
