The meeting was called to order at 7:10 P.M. in Rathbone Hall 274 by President John Blessing, NØYRL.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
The Oct. 10 KSUARC / MAARS auction was discussed. It will begin at 1 P.M. Some club members will need to help. The location is at the Dillmans' at 210 Gehrt Rd. The auction will probably last 3 or 4 hours, and will need to zip along, because there is quite a bit of equipment. Those helping set up should plan to arrive between 8 and 9 A.M.
Options for the future of the legendary pop machine were discussed. No action was taken.
NEW BUSINESS
Norm Dillman, NØJCC mentioned that there is a movement statewide to link some repeaters. This would be useful in emergency situations and for some public service activities.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:55 P.M. Several members proceeded to the Weapons Room for a work session.
The power supply for the 440 MHz repeater has been blowing fuses. We ultimately put the 20m Astron power supply into dual duty for the Yaesu 2m radio and the 440 MHz repeater. Thanks to NØJCC for the technical work and Pres. Blessing, NØYRL for miraculously producing a set of terminal lugs for the power supply hook-up.
The age-old file cabinet and a surplus equipment cabinet were removed from the Weapons Room as items for the Oct. 10 auction.
Some work was done to the pop machine. It is close to fully functional now.
