The meeting was called to order at 7:09 P.M. in Rathbone Hall 274 by President John Blessing, NØYRL.
The minutes from the previous meeting were not read.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Plans for Open House were discussed. Tony Sharp, NØJWP said that slow scan TV could be used to contact either DX or local stations (possibly including the solar car).
Norm Dillman, NØJCC mentioned the handheld Kenwood VC-H1 SSTV modem. The solar car group has agreed to pay for 1/2 the cost of one unit, the total cost of which is $499.95.
A motion was made and seconded for the KSUARC to pay for half the cost of a VC-H1. Motion passed.
NEW BUSINESS
It was reported that the Christmas light string on the tower has come loose and gotten snarled up in the 2m beam. This will obviously need attention, but the problem area cannot be easily reached.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:37 P.M.
