Apply to the University Honors Program
Both incoming students (those currently applying to the university) and students already enrolled at Kansas State University are welcome to apply to the Honors Program. The process is slightly different for those two groups. Here are instructions and links to follow:
Prospective/Incoming Wildcats
As you apply to Kansas State University, the application for the Honors Program is connected to the broader application process for university admission. In the university application, you will be asked: Are you interested in the University Honors Program? Answer "yes" to that question to create the Honors application as an item in your "to do" list in that same application portal. Here is a link to the K-State application process:
Selection Process
For incoming freshmen: we review applications holistically (no set metric for GPA or for standardized test scores). We are looking for students who will:
1. Maintain a 3.5 or higher GPA at K-State.
2. Enjoy/do well in an Honors course with Honors peers.
3. Strive to get the most from their undergraduate experience.
For transfer students: we require students to have a 3.5+ cumulative GPA from their prior institution.
If students were involved in an Honors program at their prior college of university, we are interested in accepting Honors transfer hours towards partial fulfillment our our UHP requirements. Check out our UHP transfer policy for more details.
Current Wildcats
If you are already enrolled and taking classes at K-State, we are always happy to see applications from current students. We require current students to have a 3.5 cumulative GPA at K-State and ask you to use this application form:

If you are in your first semester (have not yet earned a GPA) but are interested in joining the UHP, we encourage you to reach out to us at ksuhonors@ksu.edu so that we can help you figure out what would be most appropriate.
