Oehm named Kansas Association for Public Purchasing Professionals Manager of the Year
Cathy Oehm, assistant director of purchasing, received the 2018 Manager of the Year award from the Kansas Association for Public Purchasing Professionals.
Oehm is responsible for all aspects of university procurement policy and guidance to campus. She coordinates high-risk bids, Division of Facilities on-call contracts and construction projects. Oehm was instrumental in identifying available state and consortium contracts during the Hale Library fire. With her assistance, the university was able to quickly contract with Belfor to begin building clean up.
Oehm has worked in the Division of Financial Services purchasing department since 2010.
The Kansas Association for Public Purchasing Professionals is a chapter of the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing.
