Stories of global learning, coffee and snacks
This summer, 14 K-State students learned and served alongside communities in South Africa, Paraguay, Kenya and The Gambia through International Service Teams, a program of the Staley School of Leadership Studies. Come hear their stories and experiences from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, in the lobby of the Leadership Studies Building. Coffee and snacks will be provided.
International Service Teams is a unique opportunity for K-State students to exercise leadership and service abroad. Teams travel to and live in communities around the world during the summer break, working with community partners to engage in local community work. Past projects have focused on education, environmental and sustainability concerns, organizational capacity building and youth development.
If you are interested in participating in or learning more about the International Service Teams program, please email intlteam@k-state.edu. Applications can be found online for summer 2020 and will be due Nov. 1.
