15th annual Kaw Valley Farm Tour
The 15th annual Kaw Valley Farm Tour, sponsored by K-State Extension and Research-Douglas County, will take place 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6.
The event provides the opportunity to visit 34 farms along the Kaw River Valley. Through the self-guided tour, at your own pace, have breakfast on the farm, discover unique artisans, nurseries and greenhouse, pumpkin patches, and wines produced in a local vineyard. Meet a horse that paints, pet a friendly alpaca or chat with a chicken.
Tickets are $10 per carload, good for both days, and can be purchased online.
The Kaw Valley Farm Tour is the perfect event for friends and families, and a great way to make connections between farmers in the field and the foods on our tables.
