Employee reminders to help slow spread of COVID-19
Dear K-State employees,
Everyone in our campus community must do their part to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Here are some reminders that can assist everyone in that goal.
If you are an employee required to report to campus, but you are sick or have illness symptoms such as fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, or sore throat, please notify your supervisor and stay home. If you develop any of these symptoms while you are at work, notify your supervisor and leave your workplace.
As we try to keep our campus community safe, please also promptly inform your supervisor if:
- You have a sick family member at home with COVID-19.
- You have been in close contact with another person who has COVID-19.
- You have recently traveled.
- You have tested positive for COVID-19.
There are certain conditions required for your return to work on campus for each of these circumstances. The university is following KDHE and CDC guidance.
If you need to take leave because you or someone you are caring for has COVID-19, or school or child care closures, please see the Human Capital Services benefits website for more information. There are new paid leave categories available for eligible employees.

Contact your supervisor and/or Employee Relations if you have any questions or concerns about conditions of your on-campus workplace or other employees exhibiting symptoms.
Practice social distancing during work on campus to the greatest extent possible.
Whether you are at home or on campus, take steps to protect yourself and others with good hygiene practices.
