Updated COVID-19 policies become effective today

As Kansas State University continues preparing for the university's reopening plan phaseout that begins Aug. 1, several updated COVID-19 policies become effective Monday, May 17.
The following university policies, guidance and changes become effective today.
- Fully vaccinated individuals do not need to wear face coverings outside on campuses, except in certain crowded settings and venues. K-State is aware of recent changes by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to face covering guidance for fully vaccinated people. The university policy is under evaluation and changes will be announced as soon as available. Until then, the policy regarding face coverings in indoor spaces remains. - The restrictions on university-related or sponsored out-of-state or international travel are lifted. Read more about the updated travel policy.
- Classrooms and other learning spaces no longer need to be disinfected with each occupancy change. Read more about cleaning and disinfecting guidance.
- The process of reopening drinking fountains on K-State campuses begins today.
