SSC-Navigate action required: Please update your availability

Submitted by Student Success

K-State is offering expanded Meeting Types in SSC-Navigate.

Enabling this functionality affects everyone who uses SSC-Navigate for appointment scheduling; everyone needs to update/edit their availability to include at least one Meeting Type. Faculty and staff are able to set up their availability now, but students will not see these options until Dec. 17. After this date, students will not be able to schedule meetings unless there is at least one associated Meeting Type associated with your availability.

Meeting Type options include group, in person, phone, virtual and walking. Why is walking a choice for meeting type? Moving and getting outside is a student success intervention. Kathleen Hatch, the new Morrison Family associate vice president for student well-being, recommends movement and time in nature as well-being and student success practice.

Timeline:
By Dec. 15: End-users must update their availability in SSC-Navigate.
On Dec. 17: We will add the in-person meeting type to any availability block that has not been adjusted. Brad Cunningham, the application administrator, will notify these end-users of this update along with instructions on how to adjust their preferences.

Updating appointment availability:
Please reference Adding Meeting Types to Existing Availability Blocks in Navigate in our resource library for step-by-step guidance on how to make these updates.
