Call for university partners to co-sponsor fifth First-generation Student Graduation Reception
The Office of First-generation Students will host the fifth First-generation Student Graduation Reception for graduates and their families. Through strong partnerships and collaborations across campus, we celebrated graduating first-generation students and their families in the past four years. Students will receive a green cord to wear to commencement ceremonies that symbolizes first-generation students' resilience. The reception will take place on Friday, May 13.
We invite you to consider serving on the planning committee to coordinate and implement the graduation reception. The committee will meet several times during the spring 2022 semester starting in mid-February and leading up to the event. Partners are asked to consider making financial and/or in-kind contributions toward the event. Contributing partners will be acknowledged at the graduation reception.
