Weekly global religious, spiritual and nonreligious observance information

The President's Committee on Religion, Spirituality and Nonreligious Diversity presents the global observance information for April 18-24.

April 17 – 23, Eastern Christian churches. This is the week preceding Easter.

April 18, Easter Monday, Christianity. When Mary Magdalene found an empty tomb in the cave in which Jesus had been placed following his death by crucifixion on Friday. This day marks the resurrection of Jesus giving hope to Christians.

April 24, Eastern Orthodox Christian, Easter. Commemoration of the resurrection of Jesus.
