October Sustainability Retreat at organic farm
ECM at K-State, a registered student organization, will host its fall Sustainability Retreat from Oct. 14-16.
The Sustainability Retreat provides an immersive retreat experience on an organic farm in southeast Kansas for K-State students and recent graduates to explore their passion for the environment, build community and learn about sustainability.
Milk cows, hang with goats, explore the impact of climate change on an organic farm, refresh with morning yoga, lounge by campfires, dig into vegan home cooking, and experience workshops led by a former horticulturalist with Chicago's Shedd's Aquarium, Christine Nye, are just a few of the activities planned. Participants are eligible for a $200 grant to design their own project.
