Science Communication Webinar: Filmmaking at the Poles of the World

The Kansas Science Communication Initiative's February Science Communication Webinar will take place at 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19.
Kathy Kasic, filmmaker and associate professor of Film at California State University Sacramento, will discuss her experiences crafting narratives from polar science research in Antarctica and Greenland. Using two case studies, "The Lake at the Bottom of the World" and her latest film, "The Living Ice of Greenland," she will share her methods for engaging audiences through a sensory verite style of filmmaking.
