Submitted by Alexis Bestwick

Following a national search, Tara Lindahl has been appointed as Kansas State University's director of pre-college pathways, filling a key position on the university's enrollment management administrative team. Her appointment will begin May 13.

In her new capacity, Lindahl will provide strategic leadership to administer, enhance and expand dual enrollment programs, including concurrent enrollment programs. Her responsibilities include aligning educational offerings and establishing intentional educational pathways across the region. Additionally, she will cultivate strong partnerships with high schools, industry partners and community organizations to advance pre-college education and workforce development initiatives.

Lindahl brings more than 19 years of academic experience to K-State, having most recently served as the assistant dean of academic services and director of assessment, curriculum, and distance learning at Washburn University Institute of Technology in Topeka.

"I am thrilled to welcome Tara Lindahl to our enrollment management team," said Karen Goos, vice provost for enrollment management. "Her extensive experience, ranging from high school to higher education, covers instruction, student services, program development, and assessment. I am confident that Tara will enhance K-State's pre-college programming, strengthening pipeline initiatives and better serving our communities."

Prior to her tenure at Washburn, Lindahl held various roles, including college and career academic facilitator at J.C. Harmon High School, academic and graduation advisor at Metropolitan Community College-Business and Technology, and director of student success at the University of Saint Mary. She has also served in admissions and academic advisory positions at Donnelly College.

Lindahl holds a Bachelor of Science in agriculture education from Kansas State University, a Master of Arts in Christian formation and discipleship from Nazarene Theological Seminary, and a Doctorate of Education in educational leadership and policy studies from the University of Kansas.
