FAQs: The minor
Why pursue a minor in leadership studies?
We believe leadership is needed at the personal, organizational, community, state, national and global levels. That leadership is a process and is not defined simply by position or authority. And that leadership can be taught and learned.
Able to navigate a changing world
We also hear from employers and communities that we need graduates that are prepared to exercise knowledgeable, ethical, caring and inclusive leadership. Leaders that can make progress on the challenges facing our diverse and changing world.
Deepens your leadership practice
In that spirit, we believe you will be better prepared to exercise leadership in all areas of your life - personal, professional and community - after completing the leadership studies minor. It will strengthen your personal philosophy of leadership, help you engage with those of other backgrounds and cultures, and provide service for the common good.
